The stories behind improving water and sanitation in Ghana

Since 2009, Rotary, a global network of volunteer leaders dedicated to tackling the world's most pressing humanitarian issues, and USAID, the world's premier international development agency, have worked together to bring water, sanitation and hygiene education to developing countries.

By 2020, the Rotary-USAID partnership will have facilitated the completion of more than 200 sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene education programs in Ghana. Rotarians from 35 clubs across Ghana are working with local communities and empowering them through mentoring and teaching them the business and advocacy skills they need for lasting change.

Soon to be included here are some of the stories from the field, as told by the Rotarians who are on the front lines, working with government leaders, school administrators, teachers, community health educators, construction contractors and families in the villages they impact.

The stories will serve to illustrate the hard work, relationship-building and advocacy it takes to complete programs of this scale, as well as share the stories of those who benefit from these programs.

Stories are coming soon!
